The folks over at Ripstone Games have announced that its next billiards game, Pure Pool Pro, is ready to launch on February 12th for PlayStation 5 and Steam, with Xbox and Epic Games Store versions still to come this Spring.
Pure Pool Pro will cost $24.99 and promises native 8K visuals on PS5 Pro and capable PCs, or a performance mode with native 4K and 120 frames per second on base PS5, PS5 Pro, and PC. They’re touting this as fully native rendering with no upscaling techniques used, and I have to say, it does look rather crispy in the new features trailer below.
Beyond high fidelity, you can expect a career mode where you challenge 20 unique Pure Pool Pros (see what I did there?) across 8-ball and 9-ball games with hundreds of events. There is also competitive online multiplayer with full cross-play, as well as local multiplayer. And finally, as you progress, you’ll be able to customize your cues, balls, baize designs, and more.
I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while. Just one more week now.
