Studio Ellipsis, a new game developer led by Alexandre Amancio (the Creative Director for Assassin’s Creed Revelations & Unity) has announced its first project, a multiplayer horror extraction game for PC and consoles called Nightholme.

Nightholme features PvPvE action where teams of three players hunt both each other and the Nightwalkers in a dynamic environment that changes with each run. Each time out, players will choose a Grimrunner and archetype, which determines what type of monster you will transform into by drinking a potion known as Nocturn. A skill tree lets you build the archetype that fits your playstyle, while Terror Seeds earned from boss fights allows you to unlock permanent upgrades for future runs.

Amancio says that Studio Ellipsis’ goal is to create something fresh in a market flooded with generic multiplayer games:

“After opening our studio doors last year, we’re thrilled to share our first game, Nightholme. Our team of both newcomers and industry veterans set out to create a one-of-a-kind multiplayer horror experience that’s as terrifying as it is unpredictable, where every match feels like its own unique story of survival,” said Alexandre Amancio, Head of Studio Ellipsis and Creator of Nightholme. “The last thing anyone needs is another generic multiplayer game, so with Nightholme we’ve made sure that we’re offering a fresh and exciting experience to fans of horror and extraction games.”
