In what is probably the best news I’ve received all day, the team at Embark is letting us go back to The Rust Belt for one final playtest before extraction shooter ARC Raiders launches on October 30th. This “Server Slam” (not to be confused with any WWE events) playtest will be open to everyone on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X, with no strings attached, and will run October 17th through October 19th. While progress during the playtest will not carry over to the full game, participants will get an exclusive backpack at launch. It’s a stress test, so don’t be surprised if there are some server hiccups, especially considering how much hype there is around ARC Raiders after a rather successful closed playtest earlier this year. I, for one, cannot wait to get my hands on the game again.
In addition to announcing the Server Slam, Embark also opened pre-orders for ARC Raiders. The Standard Edition costs $40 while the Deluxe Edition is $60 and comes with a several cosmetic items and 2,400 in premium currency. Both versions also get the Lucky Duck Bundle if you pre-order which comes with an exclusive backpack and charm.
