Publisher Saber Interactive and developer stillalive studios have dropped off a new gameplay trailer today for Bus Bound, in addition to announcing a 2026 release window. The bus driving simulator will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and takes players to the fictional American city of Emberville, where everyone loves using public transit. Emberville is a fully simulated city, including a dynamic traffic system, day/night cycle, and varied weather conditions. You’ll notice in the trailer that there are lots of things happening – garbage trucks getting in the way, construction reducing traffic to one lane, traffic jams, and more.
Bus Bound also features licensed vehicles from American manufacturers, including the New Flyer Xcelsior (Xcelsior!) 40ft CNG, and the Blue Bird Sigma. I won’t pretend to know what those are, but I don’t have to pretend to be ridiculously excited to drive them – because I am. As you complete bus routes, you’ll unlock the ability to upgrade stops, new bus routes, passive perks, and watch city districts evolve as you bring folks to enjoy them.
You don’t have to handle all of Emberville’s public transit on your own, as Bus Bound features online co-op for up to four players. Sick. I see a Gaming Nexus Plays episode in our future, whether these knuckleheads around here know it yet or not. And of course, you’ll also be able to customize your fleet of buses with new visual styles and other upgrades.
