Firefighting Simulator: Ignite fires up a hot look at new gameplay

Simulator specialists Astragon Entertainment and developer Weltenbauer (the team behind Construction Simulator) have released a lengthy new gameplay video for Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, and I have to say that my interest in the sim is heating up.

The new gameplay walkthrough takes us through the “Heart of the City” mission, set inside a busy shopping mall in Oakridge City. In game, the mission takes about 45 minutes to complete, but the dev team sliced it down to about eight minutes for us here. It gives us a good look at what to expect, from traveling to the scene of a fire, assessing the situation, preparing gear, and fighting fires with different extinguishing methods.

I can’t get over how good this game looks from a graphically fidelity standpoint. Sim fans will know that we don’t get a lot of simulators that are this pretty. Though, I’m still a little put off about the way the water looks, but that’s a nitpick that us snobby simmers worry about maybe a little too much.

The studio also revealed the “Summer Camp” DLC, which is the first of many planned post-launch add-ons, releasing before the end of 2025. Have a look at the gameplay walkthrough below, and prepare to answer the bell on September 9th, when Firefighting Simulator: Ignite launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
