The Game Bakers announced during today’s Future Games Show that survival climbing game Cairn will include a “Free Solo” climbing mode at launch. This mode will be in addition to the main game, designed to test players who want to push their digital rock climbing skills to the limit. Free Solo means climbing with no pitons and no rope, just your bare hands and stripped down backpack that will make inventory management even more challenging than the base game.
The announcement of the new mode was accompanied by a new trailer, as well as the first single from the Cairn original soundtrack, called “Only the Mountain” by The Toxic Avenger. You can check it out below. And get the chalk powder ready for when Cairn launches November 5th for PlayStation 5 and PC.
