NetEase Games and Everstone Studio have announced that its Wuxia open-world action RPG, Where Winds Meet, is launching on November 14th for PC and PlayStation 5. It is available now for wishlisting and pre-orders, though bear in mind that it will be free-to-play when it launches.

Where Winds Meet blends a 10th century Chinese setting with Wuxia-style martial arts in what sounds like a massive open-world RPG. Promising over 100 hours of single-player content (that can also be played in four-player co-op), the team at Everstone Studios is aiming for the stars with Where Winds Meet. After creating your own character, you will be forced to leave home following a series of tragedies that leaves you with no where else to turn. As you venture out into the world, you will choose how your journey unfolds. Along the way, you’ll fight legendary figures in Chinese history, learn new martial arts skills, and join powerful factions as you create your own story either solo or with friends.

It’s not all about combat, though, as you can also take time to explore the beautiful countryside and bustling cities, or perhaps take a moment to catch some fish. And if 100 hours of single-player and co-op gameplay is not enough for you, there is also a multiplayer mode that sounds like it turns Where Winds Meet into an MMORPG with thousands of players online at once, where you can engage in both PvE and PvP activities.

I say this every time I see game like this – will it be the massive, living RPG that will finally gets its hooks in me? So far, it’s looking good. You can watch the new release date trailer below, or read more about the game on the PlayStation Store page.
