We’re just about six weeks away from the launch of Ghost of Yotei on PlayStation 5, and Sony has really ramped up the info drops in recent weeks. Yesterday, during Gamescom Opening Night Live, it was revealed that the highly anticipated sequel will get its own version of the Legends DLC from Ghost of Tsushima, with a release planned for 2026.
Ghost of Yotei Legends is a co-op multiplayer mode featuring two-player story missions and four-player survival matches in twisted supernatural settings that riff on the grounded world of the base game. In Yotei Legends, you will be able to choose from one of four character classes to take on giant, demonic versions of the infamous Yotei Six.
The best part? Ghost of Yotei Legends will be free for everyone who owns Ghost of Yotei. I’m wondering, though, if they will also release a paid standalone version of the mode, like they did with Ghost of Tsushima.
Not much longer now. Have a look at the new “Song of Vengeance” trailer, with a tease for the Legends DLC at the end, or head over to the PlayStation Blog to see concept art for the mode.
