More On: John Carpenter's Toxic Commando

Today, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment dropped a new gameplay trailer for cooperative first-person zombie shooter, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, which also revealed an early 2026 release window for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Inspired by 1980s action-horror, as well as the mind of horror legend John Carpenter, Toxic Commando lets players team-up on foot or behind the wheel to take on large hordes of zombies and challenging bosses. Running on Saber’s Swarm Engine – the same engine behind World War Z: Aftermath and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 – Toxic Commando looks like one hell of a time. It will support full cross-platform co-op when it launches, so you’ll be able to team up with buddies across the board to obliterate the undead. And I didn’t realize until today that its vehicle gameplay has some light simulator elements. Winching vehicles out of the muck is absolutely something I need in my zombie shooters, and I am dead serious.
