Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainoids, the new action strategy game from XCOM creator Julian Gollop, got a couple of exciting multiplayer updates today. For starters, it will include a Friend Pass at launch, allowing players who own the game to invite a friend to join them for free via online co-op, no strings attached, with the full campaign and all PvP maps available to them. Additionally, cross-platform multiplayer will be supported across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox at launch, meaning you can team-up (or battle it out) with friends and not-friends across platforms.
If you’re just now hearing of Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainoids, it is a third-person combat, real-time action strategy game that can be played single-player, in co-op with a pal, or in PvP against other players in large-scale alien army battles. It will launch with a single-player campaign, which, if I understand correctly, can also be played in two-player co-op, in either split-screen or online play. The same goes for the PvP mode, which also lets you compete against others from your living room or in online matchmaking.
As we await further news of a release date, check out the new multiplayer overview trailer below:
