Independent developer 3DClouds has announced that its open-wheel “sim-cade” racer, Formula Legends, is launching September 18th for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch for $19.99. Its blend of simulation and arcade-style racing features tracks and cars spanning the history of open-wheel racing, billed as “approachable yet challenging”.
Formula Legends will include staples of other sim racers such as tire wear, fuel consumption, track evolution, a vehicle damage simulation, and dynamic weather. It also has a neat retro art style that gives it a bit of unique flavor compared to other sim racers.
Although we’ve still got several weeks before it releases, you can check out a free demo tomorrow on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch demo coming on August 14th. Check out the new release date trailer before you go too:
