Everybody get ready to go 180 miles-per-hour and turn to the left, iRacing’s NASCAR 25 is hitting PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 14th, with a release on PC to “follow soon after”. The team at iRacing shared the news yesterday, alongside the briefest of gameplay teasers, which you can see below.

iRacing has long been known as one of the premier racing simulations on PC, and now the team behind that game is bringing the NASCAR series to life on both consoles and eventually PC. Featuring an extensive career mode, NASCAR 25 lets you customize your own driver and vehicle, manage contracts, facilities, staff, and make strategic decisions over the course of your career. Each of the four NASCAR racing series – NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Craftsman Truck Series, and the ARCA Menards Series – will be playable, in addition to other modes such as quick race, seasons, and, of course, online multiplayer.

The last NASCAR game I played may have been NASCAR 98 on the original PlayStation, which seared Molly Hatchet’s “Flirtin’ With Disaster” into my brain to this day. You could also enter a cheat code and shoot paintballs at rival cars during races. Anyone else remember cheat codes? Anyway, check out the new NASCAR 25 trailer before you speed off.
