The sim specialists over at Astragon Entertainment dropped a new trailer today for Seafarer: The Ship Sim, which is preparing to launch into PC Early Access sometime this Summer. The new trailer shows us the fleet of ships available to us at launch, which includes:
The best part? Each ship is fully walkable and equipped with various interactive equipment that spans several maritime professions, such as firefighting. Of course, as an Early Access game, more ships are planned to be added over time, but this is a solid start.
Seafarer: The Ship Sim sees you create a custom character and begin your nautical career, completing missions and challenges for different factions in Story Mode, but there is also a more free-roaming Quick Play Mode as well. Developed on Unreal Engine 5, and with NVIDIA’s WaveWorks 2.0 middleware, Seafarer features a realistic water simulation alongside dynamic weather and a day/night cycle.
There’s no word yet on the Early Access release date (or Steam Deck compatibility, cough) but we do know that it’ll cost you $24.99.
