As the Battlefield aficionado here at Gaming Nexus, I must admit that I am freaking out a little bit. You see, Electronic Arts has fired up the marketing cycle for the next mainline entry in the long-running military shooter franchise, which is officially called Battlefield 6. Well, for starters, EA put a teaser yesterday that "revealed the reveal", if you will, announcing that the game's reveal trailer would drop at 11:00AM Eastern Time on July 24th. Hype! You can see that brief teaser below, with a feint "DUN DUN DUN-DUN-DUN" tune for good measure.
Fast forward to today, and EA has now released a longer teaser trailer - which you can also see below - teasing a the narrative of Battlefield 6, which is a worldwide conflict between NATO and an organization known as PAX Armata. I've been pouring over the new teaser, and one could assume that we are headed to at least Belgium, Georgia, Gibraltar, and (probably) these United States in a globe-trotting military affair.
Thankfully, we don't have to wait much longer to learn more. And let's face it, the Battlefield team has always been ace at making a trailer for their games. I can't wait to see what they've been cooking with Battlefield 6. Apparently, I am not the only one excited about the reveal, as nearly 4,000 people are already waiting in line for the trailer premiere:
