More On: Ready or Not

Console players are finally going to get in on tactical first-person shooter Ready or Not, which developer VOID Interactive announced is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on July 15th. After first coming to PC in late 2021, the intense SWAT title will be available both digitally and physically on console in just over a month. It will come in three editions: Standard, Day One, and Deluxe. The Standard is self-explanatory and costs $49.99, while the Day One Edition is also $49.99 but comes with some bonus grenade launcher, pistol, and shotgun. And finally, the Deluxe Edition includes the bonus weapons in addition to the Home Invasion, Dark Waters, and a third unannounced DLC pack.

If you’re just hearing of Ready or Not, it is intense and tactical shooter reminiscent of Sierra’s old SWAT games for PC. It features 20 missions, playable either solo or with up to five players in online co-op, as well as two new missions as part of the “Stories from Los Suenos” DLC update. The two DLC packs add a total of six missions and an UH-60 support helicopter for some additional tactical options. Not to mention, there are dozens of weapons, armor, and apparel to customize your SWAT team with.

As someone who used to take the old PC SWAT games very seriously, Ready or Not coming to consoles feels like a dream. Pinch me on July 15th.
