Nexon is finally ready to launch its Unreal Engine 5 looter shooter, The First Descendant, and we don’t have much longer to wait. Releasing on July 2nd for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox (including last-gen), the third-person co-op shooter features character-driven gameplay and tight gunplay. I was able to check out the most recent beta and came away excited over its potential.
Each character has unique abilities and creates opportunities for synergy with your squad of up to four players, which will be particularly important when taking on The First Descendant’s massive bosses. I played on PS5 and was also pleased to see excellent support for the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
