Developer Evil Raptor and publisher PLAION have announced that 3D action-platformer Akimbot is launching later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The robot-blasting adventure is said to channel the classic PlayStation 3D platformers; it is certainly hard to deny its Ratchet & Clank vibes in the new trailer below.
You will play as Exe, an outlaw robot venturing across the galaxy in a bid to save the universe. Joined by your sidekick named Shipset, you will fight hordes of robot enemies with a diverse set of weaponry, but not until you break yourself out of prison first. Check it out:
