A new car mechanic simulator game is on the way, but it’s not exactly what you think it is. Polish developer Bearded Brothers is creating Underground Garage, where you build, tune, and customize cars in either single-player or online co-op. You’ll dive into the world of illegal street racing while completing procedurally generated quests and challenges, or chill out in sandbox mode to focus on crafting custom rides.
Underground Garage is being developed on Unreal Engine and is said to feature detailed car parts as well as realistic vehicle damage. Based on the new gameplay trailer below, it looks like you can also meet up with other players at car meets to show off your rides, or perhaps even go for a spin in the game’s semi-open world.
There is no release date yet for Underground garage, but Bearded Brothers says it is coming first to Steam Early Access, followed by a release on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. I’m intrigued by this one – perhaps they can tap-in to one of the more popular aspects of GTA Online, and car culture in general.
