1930s cartoon inspired boomer shooter Mouse shared a new gameplay trailer this week, and it continues to impress. If Cuphead was a black-and-white FPS, I envision it looking something like Mouse. The new trailer shows off some new gameplay mechanics, including a grappling hook for rapid movement, helicopter for aerial traversal, and PowerUp Spinach, which is used to enhance your melee capabilities – Popeye style.
In Mouse, players assume the role of a private detective fighting to clean up a city engulfed in chaos and corruption (those darn mice!). Polish developer Fumi Games also reiterated that the game is targeting a 2025 release, though no specific window or platforms have been nailed down. I still can’t get over the striking art and animation work in this one. Check it out:
