We all love gaming showcases, filled with their new game reveals and flashy trailers. In the years since E3 has gone by the wayside, we seem to get more of these showcases than ever before. A new such showcase was revealed this week called the Triple-i Initiative – a digital event focused on announcements and reveals from independent game studios. Its debut showcase will take place on April 10th at 1:00PM Eastern Time and features 45 minutes of world premieres, exclusive gameplay, and demo drops.
Perhaps the most interesting bit about this new showcase is the notion (or establishment) of “Triple-i” games. Even if meant tongue-in-cheek, I can certainly get behind the triple-i games movement. And it sounds like the Triple-i Initiative can as well, as the showcase will include news from the teams behind indie heavy hitters Vampire Survivors, Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon, and Hyper Light Drifter, among others.
