Yesterday during the Future Games Showcase, Polish team 11 Bit Studios shared a new trailer for a game they are publishing called INDIKA, a puzzle adventure game with heavy religious and societal themes. They claim it is unlike anything we’ve ever played before, and I am inclined to believe them. It is releasing on May 8th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, promising an ambiguous and thought-provoking story about faith and self-belief.
You’ll play as the titular Indika as you explore and solve environmental puzzles with a bit of platforming. Indika is troubled (clearly) by indecision over whether to interfere with God’s plan as you journey through what looks like a fever dream. Her intrusive thoughts are made worse by a devilish companion known as Illyia, who claims that God himself has spoken to him.
