Dungeonborne is a dungeon-crawling twist on the extraction subgenre

Developer Mithril Interactive has revealed Dungeonborne, a first-person extraction dungeon crawler with a dark fantasy backdrop. For the moment, it has only been announced for PC and has no release date, though a Steam Next Fest demo will be available February 2nd through 12th. The PvPvE title is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and will allow players to go solo, or team up with a small group of friends.

Dungeonborne features some interesting mechanics on top of being an extraction-based dungeon crawler, including a shrinking safezone that adds a bit of battle royale-style pressure to each run. There is also an in-game auction house that will allow you to sell looted items you don’t want or need to other players. Beyond that, you can expect a variety of player classes including Rogue, Priest, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Death Knight, and others.

I’m hoping the fact that it is being made on Unreal Engine 5 means a console version is a good possibility, but we’ll see. Check out the announcement trailer, which does include a bit of gameplay footage:
