More On: Skull and Bones

Skull & Bones has been percolating for a good while now, with multiple delays and setbacks over the years, though it seems the finish line is now in sight for Ubisoft Singapore. The open-world multiplayer pirate game shared a new trailer at The Game Awards and revealed a February 16th release date for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Amazon Luna. It is also hosting a closed beta test across all platforms from December 15th through December 18th, which you can register for over at the game’s website if you’re interested.

Skull & Bones lets you live out your personal pirate adventure, crafting unique ships, and forging alliances among your cohorts on the open seas. You’ll take part in open-water naval battles akin to the naval combat we used to see in the Assassin’s Creed series, although far more in-depth. Ubisoft also has plans for multiple years of post-launch content, including new activities, stories, and challenges that will be free for all players.

The game will come in two editions – Standard and Premium – and can be pre-ordered now on the storefront of your choice. The Premium Edition grants up to three-days of early access and some other digital goodies.

I’ll be honest, I’ve always been into Skull & Bones. I know that is not a popular stance, but I’m going to keep the faith that they can pull this off.
