You may recognize Moon Studios as the team behind the Ori games, but last night at The Game Awards they revealed their next project, an action RPG called No Rest for the Wicked. On the game’s PlayStation Store page, Moon Studios describes it as a “visceral, precision action RPG set to reinvent the genre”. The game is set during the year 841 and it’s quite a tumultuous time – the King is dead, a plague is spreading across the land, and the government and rebels are at war. You play as Cerim, a holy warrior with powerful abilities who must fight against the evil scourge.
No Rest for the Wicked is said to feature brutal, precision-based combat, and an epic story that takes place in a hand-crafted world full of unique locations. Also of note is the inclusion of online multiplayer that will let you play cooperatively with up to three friends for the entire campaign. The best part? Your friends don’t have to stick with you and can wander off to do their own thing, if they please. There is also a hub town called Sacrament where you can purchase property and decorate it to your heart’s content.
I am all about this, folks. No release date was announced, but we did get a look at gameplay in the new trailer, which you can view right here:
