Medieval tactical RPG Wartales is now available on Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC subscribers after previously launching on Steam and Nintendo Switch. In Wartales, you are tasked with recruiting and leading a team of in-demand mercenaries through challenging turn-based encounters against all manner of foe – wild animals, rogues, corrupt lawmen, and more.
As you venture across the open world, you will also need to regroup between fights, setting up camp to treat wounds, repair equipment, and enjoy a little sustenance. Accepting and completing quests is important to keep your band of mercenaries happy, as it seems they don’t take kindly to empty pockets. Interestingly, Wartales also includes online co-op multiplayer for up to four players, and it’s crossplay capable between Xbox and PC Game Pass players, complete with cross-save functionality.
I can confirm that Wartales is available now for downloading, and takes up 23GB on Xbox Series X|S. According to the game's Steam page, it requires 30GB of storage on PC. Check out the newest trailer below:
