RoboCop: Rogue City has really started to reveal itself in recent weeks as more than just a RoboCop first-person shooter. That would have been cool, to be fair, but developer Teyon and publisher Nacon have cranked up the marketing in recent days and it’s clear now that there is more here than meets the eye.
Rogue City tells an original story set between the events of RoboCop 2 and 3, with actor Peter Weller reprising his role as the iconic protagonist. The choices you make throughout the game affect both the story and citizens of Old Detroit, with multiple crimes and cases for you to solve across several open areas. When things get a little heated, RoboCop’s iconic Auto-9 pistol will be with you to dish out swift justice, but there are 20 other weapons available as well. If you need a break from the high-stakes crimes around the city, you can also help the police department by issuing tickets instead. And believe it or not, that is the feature that sold me on the game.
The latest trailer shows you everything you need to know about the game in 60 seconds – check it out below. RoboCop: Rogue City launches November 2nd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
