More On: The First Descendant

The First Descendant continues to impress in a brand-new gameplay trailer from Nexon detailing the free-to-play co-op looter shooter’s PS5-specific features. In addition to the general beauty afforded by Unreal Engine 5, on PlayStation 5 you can expect two graphical modes – fidelity and performance – as well as support for haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D audio. Fidelity mode renders in 4K while performance mode supports frame rates of up to 60fps, and support for Variable Refresh Rate will also be included.

We don’t have to wait much longer to get our hands on The First Descendant, with an open beta taking place September 19th through September 25th. The beta will feature 13 characters, a plethora of missions, nine boss raids, and a new prologue to the story. Players who take part in the open beta will also be able to claim some special rewards for the full 1.0 launch. You can learn more about the game's features and upcoming beta over at the PlayStation Blog.
