South Korean developer PressA has announced that free-to-play side-scrolling battle royale shooter SIDE BULLET is coming to PlayStation 5 later this summer. The interesting part is that you haven’t heard of SIDE BULLET before, but there is a chance you’ve seen it. That’s because this appears to be a rebranding of the game formerly known as Dead Cide Club. Additionally, there is now some confusion regarding what platforms SIDE BULLET is releasing for, as Dead Cide Club was planned for PC as well. Gaming Nexus has reached out to PressA for official clarification.

UPDATE: PressA's PR firm has confirmed to Gaming Nexus that SIDE BULLET has been rebranded from Dead Cide Club, and that a PC version is still in development.

Regardless, SIDE BULLET is a neat spin on the battle royale shooter, pitting players against each other and monsters in a 2.5D urban setting. Players choose a character from one of eight cartels such as Psychos, Special Agents, and Prisoners, with each cartel offering unique skills and perks. Of course, as a battle royale, you can expect to acquire weapons and supplies as loot, with permanent perks unlocking as you gain experience. At launch, the game will include solo and trios modes, with additional modes planned for post-launch.
