More On: Tower of Fantasy

Another free-to-play game is coming for your time and wallets, and it will certainly look stunning while doing so. That game is open-world cyberpunk RPG Tower of Fantasy from publisher Perfect World Games and developer Hotta Studio, and it is releasing August 8th for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It is already available on PC and mobile, although the PlayStation version will not be tethered to those versions in any way.

On PS5 specifically, you can expect 4K resolution and frame rates up to 120 frames-per-second as you explore the various maps of Tower of Fantasy, from the sprawling Metropolis to the Grand Sea. It will also support haptic feedback on the DualSense controller. In terms of gameplay, as you can see from the trailer, it looks like quite the amalgamation of things, featuring third-person melee combat, vehicular racing, swimming, and more.

Tower of Fantasy is a gacha game a la Genshin Impact (with a similar art style to boot), so you can expect it to want you to part with some of your precious hard-earned dollars. Despite it being free-to-play, pre-orders are available now on the PlayStation Store for premium versions of the game that include an allotment of premium currencies and resources.
