Publisher PQube and developer Long Way Home announced narrative-driven adventure RPG RESISTOR over the weekend. No release date was given, but it’s coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch when the time is right.
I’ve seen RESISTOR referred to as a “Car-PG” online and that seems pretty apt, although there is a lot going on here. It features open world exploration, vehicular combat racing, boss battles, relationship building and management, extensive customization, and a story of city-states controlled by mega corporations in the year 2060. Not to mention, the art style is gorgeous.
It may sound like a video game hodgepodge, but what we’ve seen so far looks great. Check out the announcement trailer below:
