Cyan Worlds, the studio behind Myst and Riven announced its new steampunk puzzle adventure game Firmament will launch May 18th for PC and Mac, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2 versions on the way. It will be playable both flat and in virtual reality on PC and Mac, and Cyan Worlds has released a brand-new trailer to celebrate the announcement:

It’s giving off massive Bioshock vibes, don’t you think? In Firmament, you will explore three realms, each with its own secrets and mysteries to uncover using a device called an Adjunct, which is how you interact and solve puzzles in the environment. It features deep storytelling and world building as well as a mysterious apparition companion that you may or not be able to trust during your journey. It all sounds and looks a bit existential, which is right up my alley. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this when it comes to PS VR2.
