LEGO 2K Drive explains its ‘Drive Pass’ post-launch content

Semi-open world racer LEGO 2K Drive is just around the corner – launching May 19th – and today developer Visual Concepts detailed what we can expect from its post-launch content. The licensed racing game will feature a year’s worth of content in the form of a “Drive Pass”, which includes four seasons of new drivers, vehicles, stickers, flairs, sounds, and more. A new biome is planned to release in year one as well.

Like most other battle passes these days, players who don’t care anything about buying the Drive Pass will still receive free rewards as they progress, but the bulk of unlocks will be pay-walled. Publisher 2K has struck licensing deals with popular car manufactures such as Dodge and Nissan, who will both be adding vehicles during the first post-launch season.

Perhaps the best aspect of the game’s Drive Pass is that there are no time limits on content, meaning that you do not have to worry about grinding out all of the seasonal rewards before they disappear on a certain date. Of course, if you hold off on purchasing a season, you will still unlock everything up that rank in the Drive Pass once you decide to pull the trigger.

LEGO 2K Drive will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 19th. If you want a head start, premium editions of the game grant three days of early access. Personally, I can’t wait to play this as it looks like an absolute blast.
