Ubisoft’s wonderful first-person shooter Far Cry 5 received an update today that gives the game a boost to 60 frames per second on next-gen (current-gen!) consoles, meaning PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The boost is applicable to all game modes, including the solo campaign, co-op, Arcade, and all DLC.

If you’ve never played Far Cry 5, boy are you in for a treat, as it is arguably the best game in the series. Enter the rural land of Hope County, Montana as it is cut off from the rest of the world by a doomsday cult led by Joseph Seed, AKA The Father. Take him and his entire family down however you see fit, including alongside some hilariously outrageous sidekicks.

The game and its season pass are both currently on sale as part of its five-year anniversary, and you can also play it for free from March 23rd through March 27th if you’re just not sure about heading to Big Sky Country.
