Publisher Ziggurat Interactive has announced that wacky management game Prison Tycoon: Under New Management is headed to consoles on February 7th. The tycoon-style game will come to Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, and will include the base game, Roll Call DLC, and Maximum Security DLC, as well as a new creative mode - all in one package.

Under New Management is a reboot of the Prison Tycoon series, which originally launched in July of 2005 for PC. This new iteration focuses more on rehabilitating your inmates, as opposed to punishing them. You’ll do so by constructing and maintaining a prison that offers the proper services and resources to keep both staff and prisoners happy, and as you can see in the new trailer below, this is apparently best done by offering virtual reality skydiving and pole dancing. Looks like a riot!

Prison Tycoon: Under New Management is already available on PC via Steam, GOG, and Humble Bundle. It is also the first new entry in the series since 2010’s Prison Tycoon: Alcatraz. Based on title alone, Under New Management sounds like a highly reformed version of the earlier games.
