EA Sports details changes coming to NHL 23 HUT mode

Ahead of its launch on October 14th, EA Sports has detailed the changes coming to NHL 23’s HUT (Hockey Ultimate Team) mode. Some of the highlights include the inclusion of women’s players, a new win-based reward structure, and limited cross-platform multiplayer.

The addition of women’s players to the team-building HUT mode will allow NHL 23 players to create a mixed team of both men’s and women’s athletes. Women’s players were first added to the NHL franchise last year in NHL 22. The win-based reward system grants additional rewards for accumulating a win streak, and you can earn more valuable rewards by progressing to higher divisions. Cross-platform multiplayer is also coming post-launch, sometime in November, but will be limited to console generations – meaning that PS5 players can only play with Xbox Series players, and so on.
