Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Supermassive Games have released a free next-gen update for their narrative horror titles The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan & Little Hope.

Man of Medan is the first game in the anthology series, and brings supernatural horror to the Pacific Ocean. Five friends set sail on a diving trip to a rumored WWII wreckage and discover something much more sinister. Little Hope is the second game and happens after a group of college students have their bus crash due to bad weather. They are trapped by a mysterious fog in the town of Little Hope as they escape from the visions of the past that haunt them.

The free update includes:

  • Improved user interface and gameplay interactions
  • Added difficulty settings and quick-time event warnings
  • Wider accessibility options such as subtitle sizing
  • Increased walking speeds
  • Man of Medan: Extended playable chapter "Flooded" and new death sequences
