Dragon Ball: The Breakers headed for open beta; Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot getting current-gen upgrade

Publisher Bandai Namco announced updates on a duo of Dragon Ball games during Tokyo Game Show today. First off, the upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer game, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, is getting an open beta test from September 21st through September 25th. The beta will be available on PlayStation 4 – but also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 – and those who participate will receive an in-game accessory if they purchase the full game, which launches on October 14th. Open-world RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is getting a current-gen upgrade sometime in 2023 featuring 60fps and dramatically enhanced environments. Bandai Namco released a pretty impressive teaser clip on the Dragon Ball Games Twitter page which shows quite an upgrade. It will be free to all current owners of the game and will launch along with a second season of DLC, as three additional story-based expansions were also announced. The first of which is called Bardock: Alone Against Fate and sees Bardock protecting his home from Frieza. Check out the trailer below:
