Triangle Strategy to take over our lives on March 4

More On: Project TRIANGLE STRATEGY

I absolutely loved the Triangle Strategy demo when it dropped last year, calling it a strategy RPG version of Game of Thrones for its adult themes and political intrigue. But after playing the demo (which doesn't seem like it was a year ago), the game receded into the back of my mind, where it simmered while I waited for a release date.

Well, it can come back to the forefront, because to me, the biggest news to come out of today's Nintendo Direct was a release date for the competed Triangle Strategy - and it's less than a month away. Further, a new demo dropped today which will let anxious players run through the first three chapters of the game, with their progress carrying over the full release. You bet your sweet bippy I jammed on that "Download Demo" button as soon as I heard that.

With an awesome tactical battle engine that recalls titles like Vandal Hearts and Final Fantasy Tactics, Triangle Strategy is being released with Square Enix's gorgeous HD-2D, which is just candy for my old eyeballs. Players will be able to recruit over 20 characters to their party, each with their own personalities and skills.

Feast your eyes on this amazing four-minute trailer.

How about that dope song, where she sings in Japanese except for the words "Triangle Strategy"? Amazing.

Triangle Strategy will release for Nintendo Switch on March 4. The Prologue Demo is available for download today.
