Thirty years later, Gauntlet still remains one of the best cooperative gaming experiences available. The recent resurrection of the franchise on the PC didn’t go as well as planned upon the initial launch, but the developers have promised that they are rectifying that with updates.
That means that the latest version of the game, which was announced today, should be more in line with what they had envisioned when it was decided to bring Gauntlet back for the current generation of gamers. Warner Brothers has announced that the game will be heading to the PlayStation 4 next month.
Gauntlet: Slayer Edition will be available on the PlayStation Store beginning August 11, 2015 for a price of $19.99. The game is already available for pre-order online through the store and will snag you a couple of bonuses for the game, including Mordok’s Screaming Hammer and Reaper’s Visage Helm (in-game equipment).
