The New GamersGate
The new community incentives program includes the new Blue Coin Game Tutor systems. Blue Coins, act as virtual currency within GamersGate, earned through various kinds of user activity on the site, or through directly buying them with cash. (Which is easier, though, really?) The Game Tutor program is a system in which users can ask questions regarding game related questions, and the user who gives an answer with the best solution is awarded Blue Coins! Clever, eh?
The new site also features redesigned menus which make navigation much, much simpler. GamersGate has also added advanced search options and sub-categories to make searching a lot easier. New “intelligent” search functions include “suggest as you type,” which will suggest feature and game recommendations based on the user's previously bought or browsed games.
User profiles now feature all types of customizable social info including that user's game collection, game ratings, wishlists, membership status, and, of course, a display pic of avatar of that user's choice. Membership status is based on points earned through activity on the site. There are 5 levels of membership, which are white, green, yellow, red and black, with black being the most exclusive, and white the least. Members can also send each other personal messages.
