While
Ninja Gaiden II is set for release today, you might be seeing the last of that and
Dead or Alive by Tomonobu Itagaki. 1Up has gotten a
statement saying he's leaving Tecmo and suing Tecmo for an unpaid bonus stemming from the completion of
Dead or Alive 4. His beef is with the president of Tecmo, Yoshimi Yasuda and there's some details on what transpired in the story. Itagaki will be making a brand new violent action game so he's not done with the business. It's certainly surprising news coming from the eve of the launch and I hope the game's a great send off for Itagaki from Tecmo.
