Registration opened for the third Annual Ponitac Virutal NCAA Final Four Tournament on Xbox LIVE, presented by 2K Sports. If you weren't abl eot register before 11:59 pm March 14 then hope that EA doesn't get exclusive rights to the NCAA franchise (much like they did with the NFL) or you might have missed the last Annual College Hoops 2K8 tourney.

Qualifying matches are in full swing for the Third Annual Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four Tournament on Xbox LIVE®, presented by 2K Sports.  It marks the largest Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four Tournament yet - more registrants competing in College Hoops 2K8 than ever before with over 8,000 participants, and 160,000 qualifying games (10,000 games per day) played.  Registration closes this week for qualifications, so there is still time to join the action!

 

The Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four Tournament featuring College Hoops 2K8 pits gamers across the country against one another in ranked college basketball matches exclusively on Xbox LIVE. Four finalists will be flown to San Antonio, Texas to play College Hoops 2K8 in front of a live audience at the 2008 NCAA Men’s Final Four on April 5, 2008. The winner will drive off the court in a brand new 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT. All four finalists will receive tickets to attend the Final Four and National Championship games.

 

To enter the competition, gamers can register at http://virtualfinal4.2ksports.com/ or through the Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four lobby in College Hoops 2K8 on Xbox LIVE. Before 11:59pm on March 14th, players must complete a minimum of 10 qualification games, although contestants are encouraged to complete as many games as possible to increase their standing in the leader board rankings. Following the qualification period, the top 2,048 contestants will advance to the first round of the Pontiac Virtual NCAA Final Four Tournament, which will begin on March 17th with 32 brackets of 64 participants each. The end result will net four top contestants to bring the competition to San Antonio in April.
