NetDevil and Codemasters team up to release Jumpgate Evolution

Codemasters Online will release NetDevil's brand spankin' new outer space MMO, Jumpgate Evolution, for North American and European audiences.  If you remember, NetDevil officially shutdown their Auto Assault servers in August of last year, and while it was heralded as a fresh take on the staid MMO genre, it just couldn't find a dedicated enough audience to latch on (guilty).  Also, if you remember, Codemasters had to shift ArchLord from a subscription-based model to a free-to-play one.  Both teams are ready to create a new online hero, and Jumpgate Evolution aims to do so using a twitch-based (grab your joysticks) approach to its space combat.  NetDevil is shooting for a 2008 release, but if they don't even have a quarter nailed down yet, then I wouldn't expect it until 2009.
