We finally get a look at D&D's 2026 roadmap and it's got Ravenloft, Arcana Unleashed, and a "Season of Champions" that's still under wraps

Despite Q1 of 2026 already winding down, Wizards of the Coast finally has a Dungeons & Dragons roadmap. The roadmap is cordoned with three upcoming "seasons."

Unexpectedly, a Season of Horror straddles Spring and Summer, headlined by Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. Nothing like bringing out the undead after a good thaw. Then a Season of Magic goes from Summer into Fall, with the dryly named D&D Reference Cards leading the way, and the magic-infused Arcana Unleashed taking us from summer vacation into the next school year. 2026 then wraps with a Season of Champions with something yet to be revealed. For suspense.

  • Season of Horror
    • Ravenloft: The Horrors Within
      • Pre-order April 13
      • Master Tier (on D&D Beyond) June 2
      • Hero Tier (also on D&D Beyond) June 9
      • Wide release June 16

Also, check out that alternate cover on the right for Ravenloft. Tell me that isn't the most challenging cover design you've seen on a Wizards of the Coast product so far.

  • Season of Champions
    • To be determined

Meanwhile, D&D Beyond—the online home for most things Dungeons & Dragons—is going to be working on smoothing out online tools for players and Dungeon Masters.

  • Spring: DM Prep
  • Summer: Event Finder
  • Fall: Player Onboarding, Character Builder 2.0

And partnered content (read as tabletop content that will appear on D&D Beyond but isn't published by Wizards of the Coast) has already been firing off in 2026, and has more to come by the year's halfway point.

  • Winter—this stuff is already available:
    • Exploring Eberron
    • The Pugilist Class
    • Faster Purple Worm Kill Kill V1
  • Spring
    • Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting Part 2
    • The Griffon's Saddlebag Book 1 (I had wondered why Book 2 came out first)
    • Dr. Holin's Dictionary of Dinosaurs
    • Tom Cartos Sticker Packs
    • Northlands Worldbook

And in the real world, four major conventions own the year's beltline:

  • Spring
    • Universal Fanfest
    • Gary Con
  • Summer
    • GenCon
    • London Fan Expo

Everything I've typed up above is much easier to visualize with the actual roadmap. Behold:
