Nintendo Switch is now the best selling Nintendo console of all time, Switch 2 hits 17 Million

In a shock to all those "drop the price" folks, the Nintendo announced that they have sold 17.37 million Nintendo Switch 2 consoles from launch to December 2025. Mario Kart World still tops the software list at 14.03 Million, while Donkey Kong Bananza hits 4.25 million. Sakurai knew what he was doing when he made Kirby Air Riders, coming in at 1.76 million in about a month's time. But that's not the news everyone is talking about.  

The original Nintendo Switch officially hit 155.37 million, becoming the best selling Nintendo console of all time, and taking the #2 spot in best selling console of all time. They are a little under 5 million away from taking over the Playstation 2 at the #1 spot, which will be crazy. People will say it's a handheld, so it won't count, because, internet. 

Animal Crossing was at 49.32 Million, and after that update, I'm sure everyone went back to the island. With that Nintendo Switch 2 update, I think we're going to see plenty more consoles sold throughout the year. You can check out all the stats here.
