Breaking news for all Villainous fans, or just Disney fans in general (because if you have not seen the artwork for these games, you're sorely missing out, every character is absolutely breathtaking)!
If you haven't caught wind by now, Ravensburger, the makers of the award-winning Villainous board game franchise recently announced two upcoming expansions for their line, which will become available later this year. And not to get ahead of myself, but one of the new expansions promises to include character and stories from a live-action, cult-classic film...
Coming July 2026 - Disney Villainous: Success at Any Cost will introduce Ernesto de la Cruz from Disney Pixar’s “Coco” and Prince Hans from Disney’s “Frozen,” to the franchise in an expandalone option. You'll have the opportunity to either battle these two against one another as their own on one game, or you can add them to one of your current Disney Villainous games, adding another level of complexity and strategy to current gameplay. U.S. fans can also be on the lookout for additional special editions and exclusive offerings coming straight from the manufacturer.
Now, if you're a fan of spooky season like I am, you'll be delighted to know that the Sanderson Sisters are also joining the Villainous lineup later this year when Ravensburger unleashes Disney Villainous: Come, We Fly! The addition of these Hocus Pocus characters marks the franchise’s second live-action playable Villain (first being Davey Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean), interpreting the cult-classic coven through all-new illustrations, unique gameplay mechanics, and of course, Villainous’ signature sculpted movers.
Of course, more details on the game, including character objectives and gameplay, will be revealed ahead of the games’ launches later this year.
