CES 2008: Ace Bayou

Monday, my morning started with a visit to Ace Bayou, who makes gaming rockers, chairs and furniture. The main focus of the visit was the new Pro Series 4.1 Rocker that was introduced at the show. I took a test run of it while playing Halo 3 single-player campaign and it handled it well. A couple of things I noticed right away were the extra height off the floor, the comfortable padding and the fact the sub was located in the lumbar support area. The latter of which allowed the bass to travel up your spine and create a whole body sensation. The Pro Series also utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless connectivity. Ace Bayou also announced that a retro-fit wireless kit (X Wireless Retro Kit) will be available at Brookstone and the Ace Bayou web site for all previous rocker models sold.

In addition to the Pro Series 4.1, a line of entertainment furniture with built in front-surround speakers was introduced. The two pieces I saw were designed for flat-panel displays, but had powered front-channel speakers built in. From my understanding, an optional center channel speaker will also be available at some point. Check out images of the ProSeries rocker and audio furniture after the jump:
