Even though I am one of the biggest Masters of the Universe fans on the planet, I DID NOT have a new MOTU game on my Gamescom bingo card! Mattel and Limited Run Games have announced that the most powerful man in the universe is preparing to launch a new game on everything.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is a new “hack’n’slash’n’magic” adventure that mimics the look and feel of the classic 80’s version of the show. The sprite-based side scroller will let you control four different heroes as you battle through Eternia and Skeletor’s minions. In the reveal trailer, shown below, it appears that He-Man, Teela, and Man-at-Arms are going to be playable, but the fourth character isn’t exactly clear. It could possibly be Evil Lyn as she is seen in several clips in the trailer.
There isn’t a release date or window given at this time, but I am praying that we won’t be waiting too long for this one:
