Operation High Stakes launches in Siege X in a few weeks

Siege X's new season launches in a few weeks and Ubisoft has pulled back the curtain on everything coming at the start of the season including the new Defending Operator, Denari.

Denari will be a three speed Operator from Switzerland and his gadget is the TRIP Connector. He starts with seven gadgets and can throw them anywhere on the map like Valkyrie's cameras. Any prisms that share a line of sight will be connected by a laser that will slow and deal damage to enemies much like Aruni's Surya Gate gadget and can also destroy projectiles and gadgets.

I can only imagine some of the crazy ways players are going to figure out how to use this and Attackers like Twitch and Thatcher are probably going to be mandatory for a few weeks after release. Another interesting thing about Denari is that we finally have another operator in the game that uses the Scorpion EVO 3 sub machine gun which has been exclusive to Ela for years.

Other updates in the new season include a new Dual Front map with a special mechanic in that when the final area is being captured, reinforced walls will lock off the area, sealing everyone inside. Of course this is Siege so the opposing team will have to figure out a way to blast their way inside of the vault. Other updates include nerfs to Operators like Blackbeard and the controversial change in the removal of scoped sights from Defending Operators except on shotguns and DMRs. All the changes can be viewed in their reveal stream below.

The test server for Operation High Stakes launches today and the new season goes live on Monday, September 2nd.
