Ok, that was not what the match was called, but it was the Mortal Kombat 1 finals. They did it. They tied for the most championships in EVO history! Sonicfox defeated Nicolas, after Nicolas climbed out of the losers bracket to go against the legend. It came down to match/reset point, but your new 8 time champion is SonicFox, and they are one away from beating Justin Wong's reign at 9 over all.
